Since 2019 Studio Space Ottawa has been providing stable, affordable studio spaces for visual artists in Ottawa. Open to artists at every stage of their career — emerging, mid-career, and established.

Our Facility
40 Private Studios
Studios range from 127 to 773 sq ft across two floors. The first floor accommodates ceramics, printmaking, and sculptural practices. The second floor is home to painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, textile, and installation work.
24/7 Building Access
Work on your schedule. All studio members have round-the-clock key access to the building, with parking included in your rent.
Shared Facilities
Kitchenette, washrooms, wash station, common area storage, Wi-Fi, portable filtration units, and toxic waste disposal — all included in your rent.
A Community of Artists
SSO artists range in age from their twenties to their eighties and reflect diverse cultural backgrounds. We welcome applications from artists from equity-seeking communities.
Make This Your Space
We created SSO to make a difference. Ottawa artists face a lack of available studios, affordability challenges, and displacement from gentrification. We want to make our studios unreservedly open to all visual artists.
